Autumn Recruitment Round for Cohort I, HP2

7th September 2026GW4-CAT HP2 Recruitment webinar
7th September 2026Call for applications opens
4th October 2026 23:59Call for applications closes
w/c 9th November 2026Shortlisted applicants are invited to interview
12th & 13th January 2027 Face-to-Face panel interviews take place in Cardiff
18th January 2027Applicants are notified of the outcomes of the interviews
w/c 15th March 2027Mandatory Programme and Institutional Introductions
March 2027 GW4-CAT HP2 fellows identify their supervisors team and write their project proposals with assistance from a GW4-CAT HP2 Director and the Programme Manager
26th April 2027GW4-CAT HP2 fellows submit their draft project proposals for peer review
May 2027Draft project proposals sent for peer review
June 2027Fellows respond to reviewer comments, amend proposal accordingly
w/c 5th July 2027Project proposal interviews take place
23rd July 2027Any final amendments to project proposals are completed and signed off
September 2027Most GW4-CAT HP2 fellows will commence their PhD (start dates are negotiable)
September – October 2027Mandatory Induction Day
